What Makes Your Soul Happy?

soul happy

I was feeling a bit run down the other day, and I remembered this quote I saved from one of my Pinterest boards.

We get caught up in the everyday craziness: juggling responsibilities, relationships and real-life events, and activities which we enjoy, often fall by the wayside.

I sat back and thought for a second.

What could I be doing to feed my soul?

I made a list of things which require minimal effort, which relaxes my mind, and releases my soul:

  • A long walk with my two pups and husband by my side.
  • A hot yoga session.
  • Organizing anything! (weird, I know, but it’s cathartic)
  • Reading a book.
  • Attempting a new recipe from one of my Pinterest boards.
  • Having a glass of wine on the couch with my husband.
  • Creating DIY projects for family and friends.
  • A sweaty Soul-Cycle class.
  • Coloring in my “adult” coloring books.

What makes YOUR soul happy?

What do you enjoy doing to get your mind off of everyday life and work?

I think it is so helpful to keep lists like this for those days when we are in a funk and can’t bring ourselves out of it. Great reminder!

Hot yoga is one of my favorites! we don’t have a soul cycle around here but I would love to do it. Organizing is another one of mine, too! We’re a lot alike! 🙂

I haven’t done hot yoga in years but I love it. Roaming the bookstore, crafting (YES to DIY projects) and baking make me so happy. Love this post!

Reading makes my soul happy! I don’t have much time to read anymore except for the wee hours of the Kate nights and early mornings during newborn feeds. But it works!

Also, what is Soul Cycle?! That sounds amazing

Soul Cycle is like a dance party on a stationary bike! They have locations all over the US, but the downside – it’s so expensive. My bank account would crumble if I took classes as often as I wanted to!
