New year, new me, right? This year is proving to be a much better year than last, especially when it comes to my workout routines. I started out the year strong. I was working out 4x a week for the first month. I was so proud of myself and I felt stronger as the weeks went on.
But if we are being honest here… I took a week off at the beginning of February. I needed a break. Work was crazy, life was crazy and I just wanted to come home from a long day and sit on the couch and do nothing.
Big mistake. The one week workout “vacay” turned into a month long hiatus. For no good reason. I got lazy. I got tired. I made excuses.
Last month, I decided to cut the excuses out of my diet. I decided to make small changes to my daily routine with the hopes that my exercise regime would fall back into place. I wrote down goals and ways that helped me stay on track. When the editors at BlogHer contacted me about possible blog post pitch ideas a couple of weeks ago, it was a no-brainer. I wanted to share with my readers what has helped me stay on track this past month in the hopes they will share some of their tactics as well!
