Digital Detours: May 2016

May proved to be another glorious month and I was thankful for a full social calendar and warm weather. My husband and I celebrated our three year wedding anniversary and booked a trip to Montauk for later this summer! Lots of great things are happening, both personally and professionally, and I’m excited for a great summer ahead!

My Side Hustle

Did you know spring is one of the most popular seasons to get married? I sure felt the heat this month when my Etsy Shop was hustlin’ and bustlin’ with orders for multiple bachelorette parties. My elastic hair ties (with custom card) has proved to be a huge hit, especially for those beach bachelorette parties.

Mother’s Day

We don’t have any children (yet), but I consider my two pups, Lambo and Bentley, my kids. They have stolen my heart; I would do anything for these two crazy dogs. Sometimes they drive me insane, but at the end of a long work day, walking in the door to see their tails wagging, excitement in their eyes, makes my heart melt. I count on them and I know one day, our children will too.

Appreciate Work

I snapped this quick photo as I was walking into work one morning. I’m blessed to work at such an incredible firm and I was feeling extra grateful this morning.

Guacamole Crawl

Think bar crawl, but with guacamole. And who doesn’t love guacamole? It’s one of my favorite appetizers and I could probably eat it at every meal. We stopped at a couple of different Mexican restaurants in town, sampled their guacamole and drinks, and had a great Saturday night.

Memorial Day Weekend

The holiday weekend was full of beach, beers and BBQin’ and I loved every single second of it. We helped my parents set up the beach cabana, we soaked in the sunshine, drank some Summer Shandys (my favorite), and ate wayyyy too many hot dogs. We topped off the weekend with dinner with friends at Salt on the Water, a brand new restaurant, and chatted about our upcoming summer plans. It was a low-key weekend, but I wasn’t complaining. I spent quality time with the people I love and kicked off the summer the right way.
