Digital Detours: September 2016

September was the start of a very busy month and every weekend was packed with different activities. BBQ’s, time spent with family and friends, work events… it was a never ending cycle of things to do! I’m glad I was able to capture some of these great moments on camera and share them with you.

K & L Day

Manicures, pedicures, pizza, ice cream… it was a Saturday well spent with my three and a half-year-old niece, Lauren. She was hysterical; I often found myself giggling with her as she would chat up a storm about this and that. My aunts are all pretty awesome and I strive to be just like them with my nieces (and soon-to-be nephew!)

Backyard BBQ & Firepit

The summer weather stuck around long enough to enjoy a couple of more nights of BBQin’ with friends. We have a firepit built into our patio and it is the perfect way to end a summer night.

Labor Day Weekend

We enjoyed a Sunday Funday at my godfather’s house on the north shore of Long Island. He has a picturesque backyard, complete with an in-ground pool. As you can see, my father, mother and husband couldn’t wait to jump right in and enjoy the pool while the sun was still out.

Walk for Wishes NY

For the third year in a row,  I was proud to be on the planning committee for the Make-a-Wish Metro NY’s Walk for Wishes. We raised over $150,000! My mother is my biggest supporter and has accompanied me for every single one of these events. It was nice that this time around my friends and their children joined in on the walk around Eisenhower Park.

Bentley and Lambo

If you follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat, you have “met” the infamous duo. These two puppy brothers are something else alright… they are often seen wrestling with one another or just lounging at our front door, watching over the neighborhood for malicious squirrels and birds. They are always down to snuggle when it’s chilly outside or go for a walk when the weather permits. I recently started back up my dog blog, Breakfast with Bentley, posting tips, tricks and their favorite toys & treats. Go check it out!
