Five Gift Basket Ideas for Your Co-Workers

When it comes to your co-workers, you want to make sure you are buying thoughtful gifts that don’t break the bank. Here are some great gift baskets to make for those people who work their tails off all year ’round.

Wine and Dine Basket

I mean, let’s be honest… it’s wine 0’clock somewhere. Why not give your colleagues a basket full of wine-related items: a bottle of red and white, a scratch and sniff wine book, pretty wine stopper, wine charms, wine scented candle, beautifully etched wine glasses, kitchen towels with pictures of wine, etc. You can mix it up to match your budget. When I make this type of basket, I usually start at HomeGoods; they have a variety of products that match my needs.

Spa “Vacation” Basket

I found this Etsy store the other day and I fell in love with their products. For one of my colleagues, I bought the Spa Kit gift set. It came in a pretty box, wrapped with a bow. When she opened the box, the smells were intoxicating. I felt like I was laying down in a dimly lit room, listening to relaxing music, about to get a massage. The shipping was lightening fast and the products are high quality. Great gift for your co-worker!

Top Chef Basket

We all know someone who loves to cook. (If you know me, I am not one of those people. #sorrynotsorry) Why not give your co-worker the gift of food this holiday season? Bed, Bath and Beyond (we all love those 20% off coupons!) or HomeGoods has a great selection of gourmet goodies. Does your co-worker love Italian food? Why not fill a basket with pasta, sauce, seasoning, bruschetta and crackers? Your basket will provide the makings of a great dinner party! To jazz it up, throw in a bottle of wine. They will appreciate a nice glass of vino after sweating over the stove all night.

Read Good Books “Basket”

Book-lovers unite! I am a huge book nerd (former English teacher here) and I love anything that has to do with reading and literature. I went with a “cozy up with a good book” type of theme for this one.  This year, I bought my boss this fantastic tote bag from the Etsy shop Sea and Lake. Inside the bag, I included a gift card to Barnes and Nobles, a green tea candle I found at HomeGoods, and a framed picture of our department from our last event. I also included some sleep bath soaps and lotions from Bath and Body Works. It was the perfect gift for my boss who loves to read and relax!

Coffee or Tea Basket

Most people are either coffee or tea drinkers. You can’t go wrong with this type of basket for a colleague. For the coffee drinkers, I head to HomeGoods and buy two different types of coffee. I will then look for a pretty mug and/or a travel mug. I usually will throw in a gift card to either Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks for those on-the-go moments. Voila!

If they are a tea drinker, I will do something similar, but I will add tea instead of the coffee and throw in a tea diffuser. I also try to find a scented candle, either Green Tea or a Hazelnut type of flavor to add an extra punch to the basket.

What are you planning on buying your co-worker’s this holiday season?
